Bio

Artist Peggy Dixon became a member of NLAPW in August of 2015. Peggy’s artistry is expressed through interior design, decorative and faux finish painting, photography, garden design, mandala rendering and handcrafted semi-precious stone jewelry.
Peggy’s career path started as a computer programmer – creativity with numbers. After 20 years moving through the corporate business structure, she decided to express her creativity in a visual venue. A certified decorative painter and faux finisher, she continued her education to become a professional interior designer. Her other artistic pursuits are a natural offspring in the circle of creativity.
For Peggy, interior design is the definition of function. Her artistry is being able to interpret the needs, both physical and emotional, for each person’s space. Her career has brought her creativity to restaurants, retail space, dentist offices, condos, apartments, suburban homes and vacation homes. Decorative painting has been the additional layer of designing a space that is truly unique. Her sense of color combinations has expanded her career into color consultation and many repeat customers over the years.
Her newest artistic pursuit is making jewelry from natural elements – semi-precious stones, pearl, shell, wood and metal. Inspired by nature’s beautiful gems, she hopes to share her creations with others and give meaning to wearing powerful natural energy.
Being asked to become a member of the NLAPW has opened a new door to experience the true meaning of artistry. The fact that this group of women come together to celebrate creativity no matter what the medium, is an inspiration in itself.
Just like her League sisters, her soul is on a journey to discover and share the creative beauty in every soul.
